SAWA Museum Studies Programme is a diversity-oriented museum educational programme for young professionals in Arabic-speaking countries and Germany. The programme is divided into two stages: an up to ten days visit to Sharjah and a corresponding same length visit to Berlin.

Antikythera’s five-month speculative design-research Studio will run from February to June 2023. Studio Researchers from diverse professional backgrounds will take part in collaborative design briefs, theory seminars, and technical workshops to create projects contributing to a growing body of research building on the programme’s theme of ‘planetary computation’. Activities take place in Los Angeles, Mexico City and Seoul.

i Light Singapore is Asia’s leading sustainable light festival held in Marina Bay. First held in 2010, i Light Singapore showcases light art installations created by Singaporean and international artists. These artworks are designed with energy-saving lighting and/or environmentally-friendly materials to encourage festival goers and the general public to adopt sustainable habits in their everyday lives. i Light Singapore 2023 will run from 2 June - 25 June 2023.

The Senior Project Executive (SPE) will be responsible for developing and leading the implementation of ASEF Culture Department’s projects, as well as stepping up to provide guidance to and supervise other junior team members when needed. The appointment is on a one-year contract basis with an initial 1-month probation period based in Singapore. Candidates must be citizens and passport holders of ASEM countries.

The international design lab ‘reimagine your city’ is a two-year (2022-2023) educational programme for 100 multidisciplinary professionals residing in Georgia, Poland, Ukraine and Germany. It aims at youth empowerment and participation in the socio-cultural transformation of neighbourhoods via interactive digital and creative practices. The hybrid programme begins on 2 November 2022 with a 5-week research module, design masterclasses, an offline winter school in Berlin, extensive group work, and grants for the implementation of small-scale projects, ending with a summer school in Georgia in the summer of 2023.

Tuwaiq International Sculpture Symposium (TISS) will consist of 30 sculptors from around the world coming together to produce a series of permanent public sculptures. The Symposium will take place 8 January - 4 February 2023, and is a platform for international and Saudi artists to create public sculptures in a live setting. Applications are open to stone sculptors of all nationalities with at least 5 years of experience exhibiting works permanently or temporarily in outdoor spaces or galleries.

The International Writers’ Workshop at Hong Kong Baptist University invites applications from interested writers to join the IWW 2023 Residency Programme from 20 February to 19 March 2023. Applicants are encouraged to engage with the theme of ‘Turbulence ·Tranquility · Transdisciplinary Writing’.

The Soil Futures Residency Exchange is an initiative between Arts Catalyst, RIWAQ, Sakiya and Vessel Art Project, for artists to undertake a six-week residency that will take place within the period from October – December 2022. UK based artists can apply for a residency at Sakiya - Art/Science/Agriculture (Palestine). Palestine based artists can apply for a residency at Vessel Art Project (Italy). Italy based artists can apply for a residency at RIWAQ (Palestine).

Applications are currently open for Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS)’s International Creator Residency Programme, targeted at individual creators working in visual arts, film, design and architecture. Residencies last three months, taking place May - July 2023 and January - March 2024. Applicants should reside outside of Japan and have 5 years or more of experience in their specialised area of expertise. Both individuals and duo creators can apply.

Artists Connecting in Transition (ACT) is a new international programme for artists in exile, centring on artistic practice and international exchange in the context of significant global challenges and inequalities around forced migration, exile and displacement. Funded by the British Council, ACT sets out to create environments of care, creativity and support for artists whose practice has been disrupted through forced migration.

Ettijahat- Independent Culture announces the launch of the open call for the 2022 edition of MAHARAT: Building Careers in Performing Arts, in partnership with DROSOS FOUNDATION, targeting technicians working within the performing arts sector who are looking to enhance their technical skills in the field of sound, lighting, and stage management techniques. The programme runs over four months from the beginning of August to the end of November.

Sapporo Tenjinyama Art Studio’s AIR programme aims to support art collectives/groups creating and exhibiting new artworks/projects taking Sapporo/Hokkaido as a starting point for various types of research; for example, learning folk knowledge, field research or engaging with local people. Two collectives/groups of artists who are mainly active in the art field will be selected for a residency from 12 October – 30 November 2022.
