Culture and the SDGs is an experimental project that sits somewhere between an action research, capacity-building training, and a creative residency. The programme will host eight CCI professionals and eight professionals from other sectors for an online programme followed by an in-person residency in Istanbul, Turkey, with activities taking place in August and September 2022.

Tokyo Festival Farm is a new framework that brings together all development initiatives within Tokyo Festival, a festival for performing arts. Among its activities are two programmes open to applicants based in Asia: the Farm-Lab Exhibition, which will bring a group of emerging talents together, online and in Tokyo, to create a new performing arts production (September - October 2021), and the Asian Performing Arts Camp, an online programme of collective research.

The Asia Culture Center (ACC) is calling for artists, creators, and researchers across the world to participate in the 2022 ACC Residency(ACC_R) programmes. The 2022 ACC Residency focuses on ‘the post-COVID-19 era and post-humanism’.

SAM Residencies, a programme of Singapore Art Museum, is now accepting applications for three residencies – the Artist Residency, the Community & Education Residency, and the Curatorial & Research Residency. Selected residents will be hosted in Singapore between July 2023 and December 2024, for a period of between one and six months.

Aomori Contemporary Art Centre’s artist residency programme offers contemporary artists, curators, researchers and others who are involved in cultural and artistic endeavours the opportunity to practice exhibitions, performances, workshops, talks and other activities. Non-Japanese artists can apply either for a one-month artist-in-residence programme in Japan during the period from 8 September – 14 December 2022, or a remote programme with a maximum period of around three months.

Bucheon City of Literature in South Korea are launching a residency programme of for writers, translators and cartoonists of comics and graphic novels. The residency is for writers and artists who live in member cities of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network or who have been recommended by the Creative Cites offices. It will run over 7 weeks.

The 22nd International Prokonessos Sculpture Symposium will be held in the Marmara island Saraylar region between 22 August 2022 – 22 September 2022. The aim of the symposium is to provide qualified contemporary works of art, to contribute to the transformation of the region into an open-air sculpture museum, and to promote the island of Marmara on the international art field.

DongGang International Photo Festival invites you to submit your work for its 20th edition, to be held this year from 22 July – 9 October 2022 in Yeongwol, South Korea. One artist or team will be awarded as Artist of the Year and invited to attend the opening of the festival.

The ACC_Research Fellow Programme 2022 welcomes domestic and foreign applicants who wish to conduct a research on Asian culture to broaden humanistic discourse and cultural horizons. This programme will run for between two and three months from 20 June – 31 October 2022.

The Bioart Society is calling for Finnish artists or artists based in Finland to apply for a one-month art and science research residency in Tokyo, Japan, in autumn-winter 2022. The residency will be hosted by BioClub Tokyo in partnership with the Finnish Institute in Japan.

Fukuoka Asian Art Museum is calling for artists to participate in its artist in residence programme 2022. 4-6 artists or groups will be invited for a residency of maximum of 90 days between September and December 2022 or for a maximum of 60 days between January and March 2023.

Taepyung Salt Farm X LAMPLAB seeks artists to submit entries for the juried exhibition, ‘Art Like Salt.’ The winners will be chosen to participate in a residency program in Shinan, designated a ‘Slow City’, in South Jeolla Province, South Korea, with the opportunity to create work in any of the following formats: photography, video, installation, sculpture, or sound. The theme for 2022 is ‘The Open World, and Beyond’.
