The city of Viborg, a member of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network for Media Arts, is promoting an Artist Residency Programme for artists in the field of digital art.
Organised by PLASTIC Collective and The Animation Workshop - VIA University College (TAW), the new Artist Residency Programme of Viborg, Denmark, aims to welcome artists from all over the world to create digital art prototypes accessible to the public, spreading them throughout the most diverse locations in the city.
Starting 1 March 2024 and running over three to four months, the programme will see artists invited to join a network of international creative cities, where they will be able to explore the various fields of digital art, including animation, video mapping, apps, games and XR fields. This network will give the artists-in-residence the opportunity to work with a range of local people, and consultants and professionals from the digital arts sphere.
The artists selected to join the residency programme will be offered accommodation, financial support of 25,000 Danish kroner (around 3350€), travel support, consultancy, and a workspace within PLASTIC Collective.
