African Culture Fund: Cultural Management Bootcamp (Cameroon)

African Culture Fund

Increasingly, the issue of creating, producing, and disseminating contemporary artworks in Africa is being raised and debated within African and international institutions. It is now established that there are talents and high-quality creators in Africa. However, it is also recognised that most young artists increasingly express the need for support in the process of nurturing their creativity and professional development, to facilitate their access to local and international markets.

In this context, the African Cultural Fund is launching this call for applications in partnership with the Institut Kôrè des Arts et Métiers (IKAM) and Arterial Network Cameroon, to select 15 young cultural managers from central Africa to participate in the BOOT CAMP #4 of the ACF ACADEMY programme, scheduled to take place from 7-12 August 2023, in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

The call targets young cultural actors/entrepreneurs from Central Africa who meet the following criteria:

  • Be between the ages of 21 and 40.
  • Be a private cultural actor and/or operator.
  • Be a citizen of one of the countries in Central Africa.
  • Have experience of at least 3 years in managing a cultural enterprise and/or cultural event.
  • Be available to participate in various trainings, networking activities, and coaching sessions organised as part of the ACF-ACADEMY programme.

The ACF-ACADEMY programme covers all expenses for participants throughout the duration of the Boot Camp, including international transportation, accommodation, meals, and local travel during the programme.
