Nantes Métropole is a French local authority which embeds 24 municipalities.
Artistic mobility is at the core of the international strategy of Nantes métropole’s cultural policy. This strategy tries to incorporate ecological and ethical issues within mobility and questions the very notion of sustainability in the development of international cooperations. In this perspective, the Culture Department of Nantes métropole supports cultural mobility through different ways: a partnership with the Institut français, cross-residency programmes with several cities, cultural exchanges researching reciprocity and long term approaches.
