The Nantes Institute for Advanced Study, is establishing a new fellowship in ‘Arts, Societies and Contemporary Mutations’. In this context, the IEA in collaboration with local partners, Lieu Unique, the Nantes Saint-Nazaire School of Fine Arts and Nantes Métropole, is offering an international artistic and research residency to artists from the global south. This residency, supported by Nantes Métropole – Culture Department, will run for 6 months from 10 September 2024 – 10 March 2025.

IN SITU is hiring a new Administration Officer to work at Lieux publics, a National Center for Art in Public space and European production hub, located in the Cité des arts de la rue in Marseille, France. The position is a permanent contract with a start date between late January and early February 2024.

The International Choreographic Festival of Blois (Blois Danse) will take place in Blois, France, from 5-7 July 2024. The festival is looking for six dance companies (max. 4 dancers per company) to present their work at the festival.

Applicants should be resident and/or a citizen of one of the partner countries of the project - Tunisia, France, Albania, and the Balkans.

La Volière art centre in Saint-Nazaire, France is calling for five emerging aerial artists (aged 18-30) to become part of the aerial art project MIXCity. Applicants must be individual young emerging artists (18-30) engaged in a professional path in aerial arts with a contemporary aesthetic. Applicants must also come from one of the countries of the Creative Europe program (except France).

L’Œil d’Oodaaq is a French non-profit organisation that researches video art and image-based contemporary art. In May 2024, L’Œil d’Oodaaq will organise its 13th Festival Oodaaq in Rennes. It will be composed of exhibitions, screenings, performances, lectures, and encounters.

For its research residencies, the European project tekhnē welcomes artists, researchers, art educators and cultural workers working with and around autonomous and experimental approaches to technology, and reflections about what can be considered technology. Residency lengths vary between two and six weeks, between December 2023 and December 2024.

Creatives across Northern Ireland, Scotland and France can apply now for grants through the Northern Ireland and Scotland in the Spotlight on Culture UK/France 2024. The Spotlight will take place between April and October 2024, providing new opportunities for cultural organisations and artists to collaborate and contribute to the people-to-people links between neighbouring countries.    

The Marie-Solanges Apollon programme seeks to encourage research that highlights the artistic practices of women in transcultural situations related to the Black Atlantic, according to Paul Gilroy, or to the Global South. The programme scholarship residency will run for 3 months (from 1 April – 30 June 2024) at the at the Villa Vassilieff in Paris.
