Europe Beyond Access

Led by the British Council, Europe Beyond Access was a four-year cooperation project supporting disabled artists to break the glass ceilings of the contemporary theatre and dance sectors. It aimed to support disabled artists as they internationalise their artistic work and careers, but also to build knowledge among cultural managers and programmers.

As part of the project, On the Move was commissioned by the British Council to produce two reports - Time to Act (2021) and Time to Act, Two years on (2023) - aimed at identifying barriers to the international mobility of disabled artists, to programming disabled artists in Europe, and to making venues and events accessible for audiences.
