The Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange collaborates with international arts and culture institutions/organisations and Korean Cultural Centers with the aim of introducing and promoting Korean arts and culture through its Traveling Korean Arts (TKA) project.
TKA is designed to support the global sharing of Korean performances/exhibitions. The TKA POOL (roster) consists of Korean performances/exhibitions that represent Korean arts and are ready to collaborate with international arts and culture institutions/organisations.
This call for international partners aims to encourage the participation of international arts and culture institutions/organisations interested in establishing a foundation for cultural exchange with Korea.
For 2024, a total of 8 projects (KRW 550 million) are planned to be selected. For 2025, early selection will take place based on the program proposals that satisfy the feasibility criteria. The amount of support may vary depending on the size of the proposed project. (Estimated amounts: KRW 50 million for performances (~35,000 EUR); KRW 70 million (49,000 EUR) for exhibitions.)
Priority projects:
- Projects for programmes (performances/exhibitions) that have not toured yet.
- Projects from experts or professional institutions previously invited to Korea through the Traveling Korean Arts Plus (Culture and Arts Expert Invitation Program).
- High collaboration level from partners for budget, marketing, or planning, etc.
- Projects planned in conjunction with national or city linkages.
- Projects developed in relation to significant events or occasions.
