Trans Europe Halles is looking for a senior international project manager to lead the Creative Europe project Rebuilding to Last (2022-2024). This is a two-year full-time (40 hours a week) appointment based in Lund, Sweden. Employment starts 1 April 2022.

The Nordic Lights project will support six new audiovisual performances created by 12 artists and presented at 3 festivals. The performances will be formed at mini-residencies in Norway, Finland and Sweden hosted by the festivals, where selected artists will collaborate across national borders. The ideal length of the residency is 7-14 days, and will take place in May–August 2022.

In 2022, the Alpine Fellowship will grant five awards for the best responses in academic writing, theatre, visual art, poetry, and writing to the theme ‘Freedom’. Winners and a number of runner-ups will be invited to attend the Fellowship’s annual symposium in Fjällnäs, Sweden.

The European Creative Rooftop Network is calling for applications for 18 transdisciplinary Rooftop Artist Residencies in the summer of 2022. The residencies are available for artists who live and work in the 9 European cities of the ECRN (Amsterdam, Antwerp, Barcelona, Belfast, Chemnitz, Faro, Gothenburg, Nicosia, Rotterdam) to travel in one of the other 8 European cities of the network and develop artwork related to… Rooftops!

For a second year the Translation in Motion consortium of translation residencies invites applications by literary translators working from or into the languages of the countries of the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia). Residency stays will take place between April 2022 and April 2023.

In order to increase the knowledge of Swedish literature and the Swedish book market, the Swedish Arts Council, Kulturrådet, arrange a Fellowship programme taking place during the Gothenburg Book Fair in September. After two years in the digital world, they are now looking forward to arranging the Fellowship on site in Gothenburg, from 21-24 September 2022. The focus of this year’s Fellowship will be Fiction, so publishers and translators within this field are invited to apply.

Hybrida AiR is an art residency programme in Älvsbacka, in the west of Sweden, which will take place from 9 May - 26 June 2022. The programme offers seven artists the chance to work on new individual projects, alongside each other, during six weeks on location in Sweden. The outcomes are presented in a two-week-long exhibition at the end of the residency. This year’s curatorial theme is [ capture ].

Konsthall C’s AiR-platform The Research Station welcomes artists, researchers, writers and activists to apply for Transforming Bricks and Mortar, two upcoming residencies focusing on the transformative potential in building a decolonial art institution from inside and out. Two residencies will run 1 February – 13 March 2022 and 11 May – 26 June 2022.

The Next Generation residency programme is an ASSITEJ initiative, designed to support artistic and cultural exchange and collaboration between international artists aged 36 years or below, interested in theatre for young audiences, at ASSITEJ events. ASSITEJ Sweden and the Bibu Biennial in Helsingborg invites 16 artists, critics, producers, researchers, from around the world to attend the Next Generation programme at Bibu 17 – 22 May 2022.

Art Inside Out invites you to an artistic residency where ‘ecological literacy’ is used as point of departure in a movement through two similar ecological conditions: the meeting between the sea north of city of Varberg and the river Viskan; and the earthy landscape surrounding the city of Laholm. The residency has a research phase (30 May – 17 June 2022), and a production and presentation phase (29 August – 30 October 2022).

Inter Arts Center (IAC) and KØS invite artists whose practices evolve around public space, extended reality, world building and/or immersive technologies to apply for this open call with new bold projects or adaptions of existing works. In addition to project funding, the winning applicant will receive a long-term residency at IAC in Lund, Sweden.

Samovar Circles is a short-term network wishing to create a collective catalyst and boiler of ideas on how to tackle the new challenges and opportunities for the performing arts in post covid times. Artists and presenters in the Nordic and Baltic contemporary circus and performing arts scene are invited to participate in a series of intimate and highly participatory meetings, workshops and seminars between December 2021 and September 2022.
