Immersive Mobile Konsthall (iM KONSTHALL) – a project in the making developed by Northern Sustainable Futures (NSF) – is calling for artists working in immersive technology to create new work for a touring mobile gallery. Selected artists will undertake residencies of one-month duration at Moskosel Creative Lab.

Trans Europe Halles (TEH) is an international network with more than 140 members in 40 countries, initiated by citizens and artists.  Reporting to the Managing Director, the Marketing and Communications Director will play a key role in setting the strategy and promoting the Trans Europe Halles new brand.

One of the main goals of The Nordic Watercolour Museum in Skärhamn, Sweden is to promote artistic development to make the museum a space for thoughts and processes. One way of doing this is offering artists accommodation in the guest studios next to the museum. The museum wants to contribute to artistic networks, peace of mind, inspiration – for the creation of art. They are curious about the meetings and processes that can occur between the artist, the place, the visitors, and the exhibitions.

Room to Bloom Festival will take place next 1-4 November 2022 in Malmö, Sweden on the theme: Celebrating Postcolonial and Ecofeminist Art & Activism. Room to Bloom community members, Sweden-based artists, and artists from the MENA region are invited to participate in the festival’s programme of exchanges and artist-led workshops.

The Rail2Dance partners Städtische Theater Chemnitz – Ballet in Germany, Dance Theatre MD in Tampere, Finland, Plesni Teater Ljubljana in Slovenia, and Norrlandsoperan in Sweden invite dance artists who work and live in Tampere (FI), Ljubljana (SI), Chemnitz (DE) and Sweden to participate in two Rail2Dance Residencies, Mobility Phase (Touring) and a Symposium. The partner organizations will together select in total 5 artists from the collaborating cities / countries to be part of this long-term project due to the following timeline:

In the autumn of 2022, Jokkmokk, a city north of the Arctic Circle in Arctic Sweden and Sápmi, will offer a research-based residence for visual artists and artisans.

The main objective of BKN (Björkö Konstnod) is to provide an opportunity to focus on artistic practice while experiencing life in the Northern Archipelago of Stockholm - a peaceful rural milieu where the sea meets the forest, fields, and lakes. MAGNITUDE, BKN’s process based residency, is offering grants to two international artists selected to join a 6-8 week programme in August – September 2022.

In cooperation with the Aine Art Museum, Culture for All is organising two-month artist residencies from July to December 2022 with exhibitions in Tornio and Haparanda. The residency is open to disabled artists and artists who are Sign Language users from anywhere in the world.

Green Heritage Story is a residency project that invites two international artists to interpret the biological cultural heritage in connection to Kulturens Östarp, a cultural reserve in Vombsjösänkan in the south of Sweden. ARNA welcomes applications from artists within all disciplines to develop a personal interpretation on the theme The Green Heritage Story. The residency will run for four weeks between 20 August - 17 September 2022.

Mistra Environmental Communication are hosting one artist-in-residence (AiR) at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Uppsala in from 1 September – 31 October 2022. The AiR@SLU is part of the Mistra Environmental Communication research programme, and offers an artist the opportunity to investigate and explore environment and sustainability in collaboration with the research programme and community.

Nordiskt Ljus welcomes artists based in the Nordic region to apply for an artistic residency between 4-31 July 2022. The residency takes place at Nordiska folkhögskolan in Kungälv for one month, where you are invited to develop artistic work in relation to the theme of ‘Goodness’. Individuals, duos and groups can apply.

The UmArts Research Centre at Umeå University is seeking outstanding candidates for a post-doc in interdisciplinary artistic research, which will be based at the Umeå Institute of Design in partnership with Molecular Biology. This research will contribute to the artistic research culture on campus as well as to the development of interdisciplinary arts research practices that generate a critical and creative discourse within the public realm.
