From 26 April – 5 May 2024 the Center for Choreography Bleiburg/Pliberk invites (groups of) artists to a 10-day interdisciplinary residency in Carinthia.

The Twenty Something Project, part of the European Capital of Culture programme, will organise a literary residency on the theme ‘visible and invisible’ in 2023. The residency is aimed at writers, poets, essayists and committed publicists between the ages of 20 and 29 from Slovenia, Italy (FriuliVenezia Giulia, Veneto, South Tyrol, and Emilia-Romagna only), Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia, and Germany (Chemnitz and surroundings only).

On the Move is collaborating with Motovila to organise a workshop for cultural mobility developers focusing on the Balkan countries. 10 participants will be selected for the two-day workshop, which takes place on 26-27 September 2022 in Ljubljana, as well as to participate in the Creativity4Sustainability Forum in Kranj on 28 September 2022.

For the 2022 edition of Ljubljana Street Art Festival, KUD Mreža and the Institute of Urban Questions are opening a call for artists. They offer a residency with a one-month working stay (1 June - 7 July 2022) at the Asylum Studio (Atelje Azil) in Ljubljana to realise a visual project and a public artistic intervention (e.g. sculpture, installation, mural painting).

In 2022, the Slovenian Association of Literary Translators – DSKP will offer residencies to 4-6 translators from Slovenian into foreign languages for 4 weeks (or 1 month). The DSKP Residency Programme is aimed at promising or established foreign translators of fiction, humanities and social sciences who have published at least one literary translation or several shorter translations in printed monographs and/or in reference print or electronic media.

The Agora Cultural Center in Wrocław in cooperation with artistic organisations from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland invites participation in an open call as part of the international Open Air Theater Festival. The call is open to theatre makers, with a special focus on circus performers, acrobats, performers, dancers and musicians under the age of 26 and from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. The residency will run 12-18 September 2021, with participants working together to create (and finally show) a new performance on the theme of climate change.

The GuestRoomMaribor residency programme invites visual and interdisciplinary artists to apply for residencies in Maribor, Slovenia. In 2021, there are several dates available for one-month funded residencies in spacious studios, in the quiet courtyard of the Vetrinj mansion located in the strict centre of Maribor, including the possibility of presenting the newly created production in the Gallery K18.

RUK is a network of art and culture research centres at the intersection of contemporary technologies, science, and the economy. In this interdisciplinary hub, innovative products and services for the humane technology of the future are being developed. The RUK residency programme is for artists who see collaboration, a multidisciplinary approach and experimentation as a great way to work; who want to test their artistic approach in a business environment; and who want to help advance the humanisation of technology.
