    The First Europe project aims to promote and celebrate European archaeological heritage with a special focus on the fascinating archaeological site of Lepenski Vir in Serbia, which formed one of the oldest settlements in Europe. First Europe will bring prehistoric society closer to contemporary audiences by placing this unique European archaeological heritage in a new context – using it as the basis for a series of ‘Opera Hackathons’, a new creation framework methodology for live performances.

    The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network is launching a call for ten journalists, artists, historians and civil society activists from the Balkans for small projects on exploring archives of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and local courts in ex-Yugoslav countries that dealt with war crimes cases (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia). Research duration is six months, starting from May 2022. All projects must be published before the end of 2022.
