The E-ROUTES In-Residency Programme offers contemporary authors, writers, artists, and creative individuals an opportunity to spend one month in a chosen country (Croatia, Italy or Serbia) in the first half of 2024. The call is open to authors/artists permanently based in any European country.

European Digital Deal is now calling on artists interested in exploring the deep entanglement between new technologies and democracy to apply for one of 12 residencies. Applicants can individuals or groups.

Collab 4 HY Sustain seeks to support 15 European culture and creative organisations that want to innovate within two topics: Audience and Hybrid Approaches, and Sustainability in Processes of Collaboration. Applying organisations must be working in the EU cultural and creative sectors. Priority will be given to activities based in project partner countries – Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece, and Denmark – or cross-border initiatives that have partners in one of these countries.

AIR on the Edge is a one-month international artist residency exchange that creates opportunities for artists to engage with rural communities on the edges of Europe. Applicants must live or work in County Galway (Ireland), Fryslan (The Netherlands), Novi Sad (Serbia), Pirkanmaa (Finland), or Ringkøbing-Skjern and mid Jutland area (Denmark). Residencies will take place between September 2023 and June 2024.

The First Europe project aims to promote and celebrate European archaeological heritage with a special focus on the fascinating archaeological site of Lepenski Vir in Serbia, which formed one of the oldest settlements in Europe. First Europe will bring prehistoric society closer to contemporary audiences by placing this unique European archaeological heritage in a new context – using it as the basis for a series of ‘Opera Hackathons’, a new creation framework methodology for live performances.

‘BETA CIRCUS Participatory experience’ aims to create a European transnational opportunity to explore participatory circus as a future trend that can engage the public in circus’ creative process. The call is open to circus artists and collectives (max. 4 people) from Creative Europe countries, and participatory art collectives from Italy, Latvia, Portugal and Serbia.

Enoa – the European Network of Opera Academies is organising an immersive residency programme offering support, mentorship and mobility for artists without significant opera experience. There are residencies available with eleven hosting institutions in various European countries. The programme runs February 2023 - spring 2024. Applicants should be mid-career artists based in Europe who are highly interested in the development of opera creation / interdisciplinary musical and artistic forms but have no significant opera experience.

The project #synergy: Sharpening the capacities of the classical music industry in the Western Balkans is calling for emerging music performers to work closely with twelve composers on newly commissioned works. These will be performed on a festival tour, organised by the project partners during the summer of 2023.

Organised by Compagnie Digestif (Switzerland) and the Creative Network Panonika (Serbia), the ConneXt youth exchange programme is running two camps this summer for young artists (age 13-30) from Switzerland and Serbia. The location will be Fruška Gora National Park near Novi Sad, Serbia.

Reconnection 2.0 aims to provide spaces for artists of various fields (literature, acting, music, visual arts, costume design, choreography, etc.), to reflect and produce new works during a one-month stay in Serbia. Up to two artists from Kosovo will benefit from this phase of the call.

The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network is launching a call for ten journalists, artists, historians and civil society activists from the Balkans for small projects on exploring archives of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and local courts in ex-Yugoslav countries that dealt with war crimes cases (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia). Research duration is six months, starting from May 2022. All projects must be published before the end of 2022.
