This conversation as part of The Prague Quadriennale will be an opportunity to share and discuss the findings of an updated and ongoing mapping of funding practices for the mobility of artists and cultural professionals within and with Africa.

Marie Le Sourd (Secretary General, On the Move) will represent On the Move in this in-depth discussion that will cover questions such as: Who are still the key actors? To what extent have new forms of solidarity and collaborative practices developed, including with the private sector? How can this information be made more accessible? How to deal with the remaining challenges related to visas or administrative problems, in particular for artists and cultural professionals from the African continent? How to reach people outside the information networks? How to democratise access to information in order to support mobility in Africa?

This talk is part of the Deconfining project, a project coordinated by ITI-International Theatre Institute in Germany and co-funded by the European Union. This talk is a collaboration between Arts and Theatre Institute, Culture Funding Watch and On the Move.
