Footprints is a new collaborative project that aims at reforming the music sector and introducing the values of social, economic and environmental responsibility to its activities. The project is currently calling for applications from music agents living in Poland, Austria, Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia or France. Selected agents will take place in Spring Campus workshops and meetings at Periscope in France 12 - 18 April 2021; participate in the INTL Jazz Platform in Lodz 16-22 July 2021; and tour with a Footprints artist and their band (for around 10 concerts during the period between June 2021 and April 2022).

Face to Faith is an international cooperation project aiming to understand the diverse meanings of faith in European societies. The Face to Faith project involves producing seven new performance productions, with each of the seven project partners managing one of the productions. After the premiere held by the producing partner organisation, the project will tour each production in at least one other Face to Faith partner city. The productions will premiere between October 2021 and September 2022.

The next edition of the festival of Kinetic Art ‘Light.Move.Festival’ will take place 24-26 September 2021 in Łódź, Poland. The organisers are calling for artistic works that will unconventionally change the festival’s urban green spaces with art of light: light installations, interactive installations or interdisciplinary projects. The invitation is addressed to all artists, light designers, architects and people dealing with the art of light and visual arts.

The conference ‘Not Yet Written Stories. Women Artists in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE)’ will take place in Warsaw in the first week of September 2021 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The organisers are calling for papers from early career humanities scholars, curators and artists which focus on visual arts before 1989 in relation to women artists’ experiences and histories in Central and Eastern Europe.

The third edition of the Polish-German-Israeli programme of intellectual and artistic exchange, entitled ‘Exercising Modernity’, will be devoted to the ways in which modernities across the world have envisioned the future – with its new man and woman, new society, new ways of life, new everyday order. Hosting discussions guided by experts representing different perspectives and disciplines, including Zvi Efrat, Sharon Golan, Shira Levy-Binyamini, Marci Shore and Robert Jan van Pelt, the Exercising Modernity Academy will unfold in two phases.

Fotofestiwal was established in 2001 in Łódź as one of the first photography events in Poland. This open call gives you the opportunity to present your works to the audience at the next edition of the festival, 10-27 June 2021. The organisers are looking for artists with exceptional personalities and projects which present bold visions. The call for entries is open with no thematic or age limits.

Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, Poland invites applications for an artistic residency within the project Smashing Wor(l)ds: Cultural Practices for re/Imagining & un/Learning Vocabularies.

AIR Modernism is an international artist residency project that seeks to network Polish, German and Georgian arts and cultural institutions and professionals. Chosen residents will have the opportunity to conduct a field study, based on which they will create their own research/artistic notes. The residency is dedicated to those working in visual arts/design/architecture/science and gives them the opportunity to live and work in Wrocław (2020), and in the future to visit Chemnitz and Tbilisi.

Photon Foundation has announced an open call for artistic residencies #home edition, during which artists will create audiovisual projects in their homes and studios to be presented in the 360° Gallery in Krakow, Poland. During a 31-day home residency, between 15 September 2020 – 18/ October 2020, three selected artists (or artistic groups) are going to work in their homes and studios on their own audiovisual project dedicated to the innovative projection system in the 360° Gallery in the centre of the Kazimierz district at Beera Meiselsa 18 street in Krakow. Applications are invited from audiovisual artists or artistic groups (max. 2 people). Deadline: 15 July 2020.

The CEI Award for Writers in Residence is an award aimed at encouraging cross-border cooperation and promotion in the field of literature for young writers from the CEI Member States (Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine). The award supports the winner to make a one-month stay in a CEI Member State of their choosing, anytime in 2021. Writers from all genres under the age of 35 from the CEI Member States are eligible. Deadline: 15 June 2020.

Malta Festival Poznań in Poland is inviting artists, musicians, researchers and activists, among others, to propose projects that explore how water reflects the social world. These can be for artistic activities, objects and interactive installations, artistic and educational processes, interdisciplinary experiences, and more. Projects should be prepared with one of the selected water basins in Poznań in mind: a lake, pond, wetland, river, pool, stream, channel or reservoir. Projects will be realised within the period 19-28 June 2020. Deadline (extended): 15 April 2020.
