NYX Hotel Warsaw is inviting artists to participate in the NYX Hotel – Art Lives Here competition with the prize consisting of a three-week artistic residency at their hotel located in the heart of Warsaw. The competition is open to artists from Poland and its neighbouring countries or the Baltic region, whose practice employs media such as painting, drawing, sculpture or photography.

The theme for the 2022 edition of the festival Unsound Kraków is ‘Bubbles’ - evoking both images of celebration and all the ways different communities are contained and isolated from one another. Proposals are sought on this theme for the festival’s discourse programme, running 9-16 October 2022.

Over the course of 30 months, Future Laboratory will select 15 artists to participate in three research residencies in three partner institutions in three different cities. The artists must be available for 3 residencies in 3 different countries lasting 10 working days (so two weeks in total) to take place between October 2022 and October 2024.

Footprints is working in direct partnership with Intl Jazz Platform, in order to propose a full training programme for young and motivated musicians willing to develop their experience on tours and in European networks. Over a five-day programme in Łódź, Poland (10-14 July 2022) they will have the chance to play, talk, exchange experiences and support each other, both during formal sessions and informal meetings. Some applying artists may also be selected for a Footprints tour in Europe during the 2022/2023 concert season.

European artists, or collectives can apply to the EMAP residency programme with a project proposal for a residency of two months within June 2022 to January 2023. The artists will be collaborating with an artist of their choice or an artist local to the platform’s host institutions.

OASIS 2027 (OA27) is a research-based residency programme leading to the creation of an interdisciplinary festival that will explore strategies for the climate emergency. The programme involves an R&D ‘Incubation’ phase in Mallorca, Spain from 7-20 May 2022, and an R&D ‘Acceleration’ phase in Bledowska Desert, Poland from 3-17 July 2022, followed by the OA27 Festival in Madgeburg, Germany from 17-31 October 2022.

Kraków UNESCO City of Literature announces the 2022 call for applications for the international residency programme for writers and translators. Applicants should have a connection with another UNESCO City of Literature. Two writers will be offered a two-month stay from 1 June – 31 August 2022.

Footprints is addressed to young and motivated music agents willing to develop their experience of touring and European networks. Selected agents will take part in two sessions of training and workshops with professionals in 2022 in France and Poland before organising a tour with Footprints artists. Participants must live in one of these countries: Poland, Austria, Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, France.

The ULYSSES Network invites young musicians (born after 1 January 1990) living in Europe to apply to join the ULYSSES Percussion Ensemble. The ensemble will tour from June to September 2022, visiting Percussions de Strasbourg and ManiFeste Academy in France, Time of Music Festival in Finland, Gaudeamus Festival in the Netherlands, and Warsaw Autumn Festival in Poland.

The next edition of the Fotofestiwal will be held on 9-26 June 2022 in Łódź (Poland). The organisers are looking for artists to submit artistic and social projects on the theme of community – encompassing also ideas of utopia, local spirit, cooperation and integration.

The Visegrad Literary Residency Programme, established 2012 by the International Visegrad Fund, consists of a series of residency stays and literary events addressed to writers of fiction and non-fiction, poets, essayists, critics as well as literary translators, publicists and journalists from the Visegrad Countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia). There is a compact spring edition of the residency running 1 May – 12 June 2022, and a full autumn edition running 1 September – 30 November 2022.
