Leeds 2023 are looking for international and West Yorkshire (UK) based, Global Majority artists with a practice in live performance or creating live artistic experiences (such as interactive installations) to take part in an artist development programme. The participating artists will follow the programme between October - December 2023, with a mix of online and in-person activities.

La Volière art centre in Saint-Nazaire, France is calling for five emerging aerial artists (aged 18-30) to become part of the aerial art project MIXCity. Applicants must be individual young emerging artists (18-30) engaged in a professional path in aerial arts with a contemporary aesthetic. Applicants must also come from one of the countries of the Creative Europe program (except France).

amaneï invite artists and cultural professionals legally residing in one of the 40 Creative Countries (including the Overseas Countries and Territories and Outermost Regions of the European Union), except Italy, to apply for the research-based residency project ‘Iancura’ in Santa Marina Salina (Aeolian Islands) in spring 2024.

Experiment B is a residency programme focusing on the intersection between scientific research and dance practice. Existing collaborative duos or groups that involve at least one choreographer and one scientist can apply with an idea or project that they wish to collaborate on. Residencies will take place over two months, from 15 October – 15 December 2023.

Organised by the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and the Institute of Art Polish Academy of Sciences, the ‘Devised Theatre / Dance Theatre’ conference will be held in Katowice from 9-12 November 2023. The conference organisers invite the participation of theoreticians and practitioners who are fascinated by the working methods and tools of devised theatre.

Dance Limerick offers supported residencies to professional dance artists and choreographers to research and develop work in the beautiful surroundings of St. John’s Church dance space and studio throughout 2024. The residency is for a one or two week period. It supports individual artists or a team of up to 4 artists/collaborators.

The Res.Art call invites four choreographers between the ages of 18 and 36 to bring to the stage dance creations performed by professional dancers. 6 choreographic residencies will take place in the 2023/2024 season in Rome at the Vivo Center in Via Archiano 8. The residency is aimed at choreographers that have at least one choreographic work composed of a minimum of 3 dancers staged and/or published between 2019 and 2023.

The University of Johannesburg’s artists in residence programme is now accepting applications for 2024. The UJ Artists in Residence Programme welcomes applications from emerging and established artists, from across the globe, but preferably with a link to Africa. Applications for both physical and remote residencies are possible.

Artemista Culture Centre is looking for 3 dancers or dance theatre artists and 2 video makers with the skills to independently curate their own choreographies for a 60-day residency in Italy from 10 January – 9 March 2023.

The Dance Department at Venice Biennale is promoting a multi-year programme aimed at supporting the production (or co-production) of new works by international choreographers or dance companies. Dance choreographers or companies can propose an original choreographic project which has never premiered either in studio or full form. The age limit for applying artists is 35.

FAKI Festival – International Festival of Alternative Theatrical Expression is calling for artists, activists, researchers and theatre critics to participate in its next edition happening in Zagreb, Croatia from 27 May - 2 June 2024.
