After Umeå, Barcelona, Pilsen, Aarhus, Sofia, Paris, Elefsina and Dublin, Springback Academy is once again offering aspiring dance writers the opportunity to be mentored in the fundamentals of quality dance criticism in the action-packed environment of Spring Forward, Aerowaves’ annual festival. This year the festival will take place in Darmstadt, Mainz and Wiesbaden, Germany. The Academy will take place alongside the festival, from 20-23 March 2023 (inclusive).

Europe Beyond Access (EBA) is Europe’s largest and most influential initiative to focus on the active participation of artists with disabilities in mainstream dance and theatre. The EBA Consortium Project Manager will work alongside the EBA Project Director, and the EBA Consortium Communications Officer to ensure the good management of the whole collaborative programme.

Poland’s National Institute of Music and Dance has announced the final call for applications for the ‘Dancing Together, Again!’ creative residency project implemented under the Creative Europe programme. The final residency will take place in Naples, Italy from 4-17 March 2024. Applications are open to artists, curators and researchers in the dance field from Georgia, Croatia, Italy, and Poland.

In 2024, three small islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Ustica in Italy, Alonissos in Greece and Gozo in Malta, will host a 7-day residency programme where artists will work with communities to raise ocean literacy and inspire a more environmentally friendly behaviour, through co-creation and cross fertilisation activities on-site and online. Applicants must be based in a European country.

Teatro Nacional D. Maria II is launching an international call in order to choose the Artistic Director for the 2024-2027 period, considering the end of the mandate of the Theatre’s current Artistic Director on 31 December 2023.

From 13-20 April 2024, the 13th edition of the Market for Abidjan Performing Arts (MASA) will take place in Abidjan. The organisers are calling for companies and artists working in various performing arts categories.

From 26 April – 5 May 2024 the Center for Choreography Bleiburg/Pliberk invites (groups of) artists to a 10-day interdisciplinary residency in Carinthia.

BOW – Bodies of Work #2 is a five-day intensive theoretical and performative training programme that will take place at the Dance House Lefkosia in Nicosia from 6-10 December 2023.

Global Connect is an IETM programme created with and supported by IETM Associate Members. The goal of Global Connect is to make the network more inclusive, diverse and accessible. Among other forms of support, successful applicants will benefit from funding to attend one IETM meeting: the IETM Plenary meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria on 12-15 June 2024.
