  • Seminar on Artists' mobility, social security and taxation in the EU (19-20 June) - press release
    On the Move participated on 19-20 June in Brussels in the two-day seminar on Artists’ mobility, social security and taxation in the EU convened by the European commission - DG Education and Culture. OTM was commissioned, via the EENC network, to prepare an analytical report on the issue, which served as the background document of the event and was completed with the experts inputs from Pearle*.

  • Training and Information sessions for and with OTM member organisations and Asian delegates in Luxemburg
    Following the successful experience of 2012, the Agence Luxembourgeoise d’ Action Culturelle welcomed again On the Move and its members for a training on communication strategies and the use of social media for cultural mobility, held in Luxemburg on 17 June 2014. The training, attended by with OTM members and selected Asian organisations, was followed by two days of interactions and meetings on cultural mobility with the Luxemburgish cultural sector (18-19 June). The report and the follow-up notes are now available!

  • Access and Reciprocity: A brainstorming meeting with cultural mobility stakeholders in Melbourne (Australia)
    Funding models for mobility today face a lot of challenges - old and new. On the Move facilitated a meeting of mobility funders and stakeholders from Asia, Europe and Australia gathering in Melbourne to discuss the issues of access and reciprocity in connection with artists’ mobility. Following the proposal by the Australia Council for the Arts, this meeting was co-organised on 12 May 2014 with Res Artis and Asialink in the frame of IETM Asia Satellite Meeting in Melbourne, Australia.   • Report and Resources - GALA Workshop on green issues for the sustainable support of cultural mobility, Berlin (Germany), 12-13 March 2014
    This GALA workshop targeted EU funders (public and private) and cultural policy makers interested in including green criteria in the way they support culture and cultural mobility in particular. The EU funded project, GALA is coordinated by Julie’s Bicycle and DutchCulture ¦ TransArtists. The training was organised by OTM in collaboration with ITI-Germany and IGBK.   • On the Move takes part in the colloquium "Culture and International Cooperation" (3 December in Tourcoing, France)
    On the Move will take part in a colloquium organised by the network Lianes cooperation and the city of Tourcoing on “Culture and International Cooperation”. The specific workshop OTM will intervene on 3 December will discuss the issue on how to promote artists’ mobility and sustainable projects.
