As many of you know, 2022 has marked the 20th anniversary of On the Move. It all started back in 2002 when On the Move (before it even had a name) was born from an increasing demand for information and contacts regarding artists’ mobility and transnational exchange, and directed at the then small IETM Secretariat in Brussels.
It has been a great ride! 20 wonderful years full of hard work, great moments & opportunities but also challenging obstacles. 20 years of growing together and learning from each and one of our members and accompanying them in the cultural mobility path. We have learnt a lot during this time. And we will keep on doing so in order to be able to offer you the latest information and opportunities related to cultural mobility in the arts & culture sector.
During this year, we have shared testimonies and memories from OTM team, board & members but also from former presidents, friends, partners, artists and OTM allies! It has been a great pleasure to go down memory lane with all of them. That’s why, with 2023 fast approaching, we would like to share with you a recap of those testimonies and pictures in order to celebrate one last Friday OTM’s 20th Anniversary.
Moreover, if you are looking to know a bit more about OTM’s history, you cannot miss Mary Ann DeVlieg’s anniversary article which offers an insightful overview of these 20 years promoting cultural mobility. In addition, you can also rewatch the video from OTM’s President, Marie Fol, in which she congratulates the whole network and community for their work and commitment during all these years.
If you would like to still write your anniversary thoughts or take a look at some good old pictures, here you can find OTM’s 20th Anniversary Padlet.
Finally, we would like to thank everyone that contributed to this online campaign either by sharing ideas, giving feedback or sending their valuable thoughts, memories and testimonies. We wouldn’t be here without YOU!
