Based in Georgia from 10-31 July 2023, the Sound Bridge project will bring together 12 musicians (ages 20-40 years) from Armenia, Georgia, and Türkiye to co-create original music and develop creative approaches to dialogue. The programme will begin with a residency in Svaneti, Georgia, where selected Fellows will create new musical works, producing an album of recorded material and several short videos, and conclude with performances and workshops in Tbilisi.

Musiques & Recherches is a space for creation, research, promotion, information and production of electroacoustic music and more precisely acousmatic music. This association has composition studios, regularly welcomes artists in residence, and helps amateur and professional artists, performers and creators who are interested in electroacoustic production.

On this journey, they will search for answers to the question: How can we boost the European music market?

Birds of Passage is a fully funded residency programme for international interdisciplinary artists, writers and cultural practitioners working in the fields of visual arts, design and interactive media, music, literature and the performing arts. Selected applicants will receive a two-week residency from 6-16 May 2023 at the cultural centre BASE in Milan.

SHAPE+ platform for innovative music and audiovisual art, co-funded by the European Union, announces a new open call for artist submissions for its next working period: July 15, 2023 – July 14, 2024. Artists selected for this roster will be invited to activities by individual festivals that are part of SHAPE+. Applicants must live in a Creative Europe country.

The two festivals Carinthian Summer (in Carinthia, Austria) and Mittelfest (in Cividale del Friuli, Italy) are calling for music and performance projects by artists or ensembles under the age of 30 from EU member states and EFTA countries to be shown at the festivals during spring/summer 2023.

A to JazZ Showcase for international emerging artists in world music is a brand new part of the A to JazZ festival programme, taking place on 6 July 2023. World music projects and bands from all EU countries, as well as Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Albania, Bosna & Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Georgia, Tunisia, and Ukraine can apply.

Intl Jazz Platform is an artistic and professional platform for improvised music artists. 50 young artists from Europe will be selected for 5 days of workshops in Lodz, Poland from 23-27 July 2023.

This year Resurrexit festival in Lithuania is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Lithuanian and foreign young musicians (up to 35 years old) are invited to apply for a seven-day educational Study Tour residency that will explore the Resurrexit festival from various perspectives to build practical and theoretical knowledge.

Henrik Igityan National Centre for Aesthetics (NCA) invites Iranian and Georgian independent artists and art organisation representatives to submit project proposals for the ‘NCA Cultural Crossroad: Visit of modern artists from Georgia and Iran’ programme. The programme funds projects in fine arts, theatre, dance and music. The duration of projects should be 20 days and can be implemented any time between 1 May – 15 June 2023.
