In 2024, three small islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Ustica in Italy, Alonissos in Greece and Gozo in Malta, will host a 7-day residency programme where artists will work with communities to raise ocean literacy and inspire a more environmentally friendly behaviour, through co-creation and cross fertilisation activities on-site and online. Applicants must be based in a European country.

maltabiennale.art 2024 will be held in Malta. This call is intended for both local and international artists, curators, curatorial teams, project managers, etc., wishing to present projects in accordance with the theme of this year’s Biennale, ‘white sea olive groves’.

The Valletta Cultural Agency is inviting artists to submit one or more artistic proposals for street installations, as part of its 2023 cultural programme. This call aims to celebrate the power of art in public places, transforming the streets into a fun and colourful artistic installation, through works of art that harmoniously blend with urban environments open to passers-by.

Situated in the village of Balzan, Rosa Kwir is Malta’s first queer-focused art space. LGBTQIA+ artists from anywhere in the world are invited to contribute to a physical exhibition, running from 30 September – 31 December 2022.

Following a successful pilot programme in 2019, ŻfinMalta - National Dance Company, is offering 3 residencies (each no longer than a week) to be programmed in the months of April-June 2020. The residencies are for local and Europe-based dance practitioners to further develop their choreographic research/practice. Deadline: 8 February 2020.
