Associazione Demetra is calling for artists to participate in the Nutrimenti_habitat creativo 2023 residency. A maximum of 3 artists will be selected and will reside in Terni (Italy) from 4-17 December 2023 to work both as a team and independently, with the support of local creatives and Associazione Demetra volunteers.

Salmastra is a cultural association for urban regeneration that aims to propose new imaginations and understandings of the sea. Salmastra is offering a two-month residency (mid-January – mid-March 2024) for practitioners who have a relation to the sea.

The Dance Department at Venice Biennale is promoting a multi-year programme aimed at supporting the production (or co-production) of new works by international choreographers or dance companies. Dance choreographers or companies can propose an original choreographic project which has never premiered either in studio or full form. The age limit for applying artists is 35.

The Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia is looking to support research-based and process-oriented programmes that foster exchange between art, science and technology involving organisations in Switzerland and across the world.

Blooming Festival in Pergola, Italy welcomes an external new media art project for one of its locations through the open call #bloomingyou. The selected project should match the concept of ‘blooming’, meant as evolution or change. Projects can include installations, A/V performances, soundscapes, video, mapping, etc… either conceived for real life or for the Metaverse, virtual environments, URLs. The festival itself will take place on 9-10 September 2023.

The Twenty Something Project, part of the European Capital of Culture programme, will organise a literary residency on the theme ‘visible and invisible’ in 2023. The residency is aimed at writers, poets, essayists and committed publicists between the ages of 20 and 29 from Slovenia, Italy (FriuliVenezia Giulia, Veneto, South Tyrol, and Emilia-Romagna only), Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia, and Germany (Chemnitz and surroundings only).

If you are an artist in exile, currently based in Cyprus, France, Italy or Portugal and you have (or would like to develop) an artistic practice that relates to performance then IN EX(ILE) LAB wants to hear from you. Activities take place over the period from May 2023 to July 2024.

The CROSS Award is addressed to artists and companies in the field of performance practices, with a focus on the production of innovative formats, centred on the relationship between corporeity and territory. Selected projects will be awarded residencies taking place in Ameno and surroundings (Lake Orta area) over the two-year period 2023-2024, during May-June and October-November.
