the sustainable institution artist residency is an opportunity for creative practitioners to produce new solutions in the fight against climate change and mitigate the environmental burden of exhibition making. Three creative practitioners will be selected to develop a prototype for sustainable exhibition making over a six-month research and development period (September 2023 – March 2024), ending with a 6 week residency in spring 2024.

The GreenHaven Artist Residency is especially intended for artists who are at risk in their current country of residence or country of origin. TGR also accept applications from artists who are currently residing in EU countries due to difficult situations in their country of origin.

HochX will offer an international residency from 26 June – 16 July 2023 to empower artists from Munich and abroad to connect with one another and collaborate on a project idea for the performing arts. Collaborating teams apply as tandems. Up to 6 artists per tandem can collectively apply for any new artistic collaboration they intend to create together.

From 20 September - 1 October 2023, FRAGILE – the International Festival for Young Dance-Music-Theatre, will be held for the first time at the Pina Bausch Centre in Wuppertal. The organisers are searching for seven exciting productions with concepts for sustainable Dance-Music-Theatre performances involving young people. Oscillations: Sonic Inquiries and Practices is a two-year project founded on the premise that sound is knowledge. The current open call covers residencies in Berlin and Cape Town and is aimed at sound artists, scholars and cultural practitioners based in Southern Africa.
