The UJ Artists in Residence Programme welcomes applications from emerging and established artists, from across the globe, but preferably with a link to Africa. Artemista Culture Centre is looking for 3 dancers or dance theatre artists and 2 video makers with the skills to independently curate their own choreographies for a 60-day residency in Italy from 10 January – 9 March 2023.

Applications are currently open for Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS)’s International Creator Residency Programme, targeted at individual creators working in visual arts, film, design and architecture. Residencies last three months, taking place in 2024 and 2025. Applicants should reside outside of Japan and have 5 years or more of experience in their specialised area of expertise. Both individuals and duo creators can apply.

The TBCK Forward residency programme focuses on women artists and cultural professionals from Central and Eastern Europe (Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia). In November 2023 feminist elsewheres celebrates over 50 years of feminist film work and invites you to submit contributions for the film programme at Arsenal - Institute for Film and Video Art in Berlin, Germany.

The SCREEN residency offers artists 4 weeks to carry out a project or part of a project of expanded cinema, paracinema, installation or film sculpture, that explores the concept of SCREEN. Residencies will take place at Hangar / Crater-Lab in Barcelona, Spain in one of three slots: 1-30 July 2023, 1-30 September 2023, 27 October – 27 November 2023.

The Project Space is a studio workspace for artists working primarily but not exclusively in photography, book art, film, and media art. Each year, a committee of VSW staff and outside artists and curators review applications and select up to 20 artists for 4-week terms.
