The Austrian organisation IGFT (Interessengemeinschaft Freie Theaterarbeit) has used the release of the publication Fairness Codex – Art and Culture in Austria in May 2022 as an opportunity to collaborate with representatives of the independent scene in creating a catalogue of measures and proposals for implementing and promoting fair values in everyday working life. In five working meetings, ideas and suggestions were developed collaboratively. The IGFT team incorporated all contributions, structured the document, translated it, and laid it out.
The catalogue is available in English and German and is intended to be a ‘living document’. It can be expanded and supplemented based on input from the scene.
The suggestions in the Fairness Catalogue are also intended to be implemented in funding applications in order to show funding bodies that the sector works fairly.
