The EUNIC office has a job opportunity for a Project Officer, covering for maternity leave for a period of six months from January until June 2024. The position will assist in strengthening the EUNIC network and the implementation of EUNIC’s flagship programme European Spaces of Culture and contribute to the delivery of EUNIC’s vision and strategic framework.

How can EUNIC take collective action and further mainstream climate action in the community of cultural relations practitioners gathered through EUNIC? What ambitious criteria and tools for environmental sustainability should be applied to the specific nature of EUNIC’s work? What are the key global advocacy moments where culture and cultural relations need to be more present in terms of the post 2030 Development agenda? What role must we play in enabling the global creative climate movement to thrive?

The EU-funded project Euro-Egyptian Cultural Programme (EECP) is launching a call for European artists to join a residency programme in Egypt working with Egyptian independent cultural actors. EUNIC will offer up to three artists a three-week stay in either February 2023 or March 2023.

The Northern Spaces for Creative Innovation calls for cultural and creative industries (CCI) organisations from Northern Dimension countries to submit project ideas for cross-sectoral innovation. The call is open to organisations working in one or more of the Northern Dimension partner countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia, and Sweden.

The New Regional Cultural Cooperation 2021 (NRCC) programme ‘Together, we matter’ will focus on the Republic of Moldova, Romania and Serbia, and is calling for the participation of cultural operators from the region. A Cultural Management School will take place in Bucharest, 14-19 September 2021, with a follow-up Projects Incubator in Belgrade, 3-7 November 2021.

With an open call for projects NDPC, in partnership with NDPHS, EUNIC and Arts Promotion Centre Finland, is launching the project ‘The Art of Staying Healthy’. Organisations are invited to submit ideas that explore the possibilities of integrating arts and cultural activities into the provision of health and social care services. The project targets the Northern Dimension (ND) area, which covers Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia and Sweden.

The European Spaces of Culture Call for Ideas aims to find new innovative ideas for collaboration models between EUNIC members, EU Delegations and local partners in countries outside the EU. Project teams are invited to apply with a cultural relations project idea outside of the EU. Pilot projects will be implemented January – October 2022.

EUNIC is commissioning a Toolkit for Fair Collaboration that shall provide concrete ideas, recommendations and instruments for working in the field of cultural relations with partners in local settings in a fair way. A a team of authors with international experience in the field of cultural relations is sought for the toolkit. The authors should have good knowledge of the work of cultural institutes – including in the global South – as well as of EUNIC and its members. The work should be delivered by October 2021.

The application is open for artists acquainted with “digital art” from any field of the arts. The project is co-financed by EUNIC, the European Union National Institutes for Culture, and moreover by the Consulate General of the Netherlands, the Danish Cultural Institute, the Goethe-Institut, the Institut Francais, the Finnish Institute and the Instituto Italiano di Cultura (in St. Petersburg).
