Narva Art Residency will offer three artists or creative duos funded residency places to create sculptural artworks or urban installations in the public spaces of Narva. These three residencies last from 1 July until 29 August.

Urban Festival UIT is calling for installations for the 2023 festival, themed ‘Urban Pause’. The central theme focuses on the wastelands and voids of Tartu. Projects will be realised as a temporary installation in public space. The approach to the installation is open to interpretation and can be cross-disciplinary; the installation will be exhibited during the festival week (16-19 August 2023).

Chasing the Devil to the Moon: What Does Art under Lunar Occupation Look Like? is an exhibition curated by Corina L. Apostol taking the form of an open call addressed to artists and creators from the Baltics for an artistic commission of recolouring the moon. Faced with such a not-so-improbable task, how would an artist or collective of artists go about it?

Tartu City of Literature residency programme is open to writers and translators (translating from Estonian to other languages). The residency period is 2 months - April-May 2023. Applicants should have at least one published book (fiction or non-fiction), screenplay, theatre script or translation from Estonian into another language.

From 4 September – 30 October 2022 Tallinn Art Hall and Goethe-Institut Estland will host a residency in Tallinn for artists living in Germany. This programme offers accommodation in Tallinn for eight weeks, as well as reimbursement of travel costs and a stipend.

The music and city festival Station Narva, scheduled to take place on 5-7 August 2021, has launched an open call for an urban art competition in collaboration with the Narva Museum Art Gallery and the Narva Art Residency (NART). Sculptures, installations, urban furniture, street art, outdoor exhibitions or other objects that enrich the public space and are defined by a specific location in Narva are welcome to enter the competition.

Kim? Contemporary Art Center, Tallinn Art Hall and Contemporary Art Centre, Vilnius announce an open call to select creatives for an upcoming archipelago of events, tentatively titled History of Joy, Part 4. Visual artists, musicians, performers and writers from, based in or otherwise connected to the Baltic states are invited to propose ideas for contributions, which can take any form, either physical or virtual. All the contributions will be shared in one way or another on a common web platform.

Tallinn Art Hall is launching a new artist in residence programme for professional artists living in Germany in partnership with Goethe-Institut Estland. It offers a studio apartment in central Tallinn for 2 months, from 1 August – 30 September 2021. The aim of the programme is to spur artistic research and discourse in Tallinn on the topics of ecological awareness, environmental sustainability and the ethics of making art.
