Kullaaugu Music Residency will bring together musicians and composers with filmmakers from around the world to create music specifically for films or specific environments, with three monthly slots in the beginning of 2024.

Tartu UNESCO City of Literature is happy to announce a special residency programme for writers from the Cities of Literature in the Nordic-Baltic region: Gothenburg, Kuhmo, Lillehammer, Reykjavik and Vilnius. Supported by the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture, Tartu City of Literature will offer 2-month residencies for five writers who live in the abovementioned cities or are otherwise closely connected to them. Organisers are able to host one resident at a time during the following periods:

Narva Art Residency will offer three artists or creative duos funded residency places to create sculptural artworks or urban installations in the public spaces of Narva. These three residencies last from 1 July until 29 August.

SPROUT is a residency programme for artists and cultural practitioners who work at the intersection of art and ecology and are based in a Nordic or a Baltic country (except Estonia). From September 2023 to June 2024, MASSIA will host 6 individual practitioners and 2 collectives for residencies ranging from 1-2 months.

Urban Festival UIT is calling for installations for the 2023 festival, themed ‘Urban Pause’. The central theme focuses on the wastelands and voids of Tartu. Projects will be realised as a temporary installation in public space. The approach to the installation is open to interpretation and can be cross-disciplinary; the installation will be exhibited during the festival week (16-19 August 2023).

Under the Moving Identities project, 6 European residency institutions are looking for companies of established performing artists of 2-5 people based in Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Norway, and Spain. The programme targets applicants who can relate to / explore themes of diversity and inclusion within European Identities.

The project MODINA (Movement, Digital Intelligence and Interactive Audience) aims to expand the creative possibilities for contemporary dance performances, and augment the experience for the audience, using digital technology – with an emphasis on exploring artificial intelligence (AI) and audience interaction, on-site and online. The project seeks dance and technology duos for residencies in performance centres in Romania, Slovenia, Estonia, Germany and Hungary. Five 8-week residencies will take place between November 2023 and April 2024.

Borderland Poetics, a cooperation programme between CCA Estonia, Rupert (centre for arts, residencies and education in Lithuania) and Icelandic Art Center, is inviting emerging art professionals of the region to apply for the 2023 project assistant position. There are three different positions available, one in each institution: CCA (Tallinn, Estonia), Icelandic Art Center (Reykjavik, Iceland) and Rupert (Vilnius, Lithuania). The position will be for 1 or 2 months in autumn 2023.

Voices of Culture, the platform for dialogue offered to civil society by the European Commission, is inviting interested organisations from EU member states to apply to participate in the upcoming topic on Culture and Creative Sectors and Industries driving Green Transition and facing the Energy Crisis. Successful applicants will be invited to a brainstorming meeting in the European Capital of Culture 2024, Tartu in Estonia, on 15 and 16 June 2023.

An artist or artist group residing in Estonia, Norway, Austria or Germany is sought to create an outdoor piece for the facade of the Ice Age Centre building in Äksi, Estonia. The residency/realisation will take place July – August 2023. The unveiling of the wall piece will be part of the project Look into my Ice as part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 programme.

Promus, the Music Community of Aarhus (DK) and the Music Cities Network invite 12 European music business professionals to embark on a transnational European expedition from April 2023 until May 2024. On this journey, they will search for answers to the question: How can we boost the European music market?

Chasing the Devil to the Moon: What Does Art under Lunar Occupation Look Like? is an exhibition curated by Corina L. Apostol taking the form of an open call addressed to artists and creators from the Baltics for an artistic commission of recolouring the moon. Faced with such a not-so-improbable task, how would an artist or collective of artists go about it?
