From spring 2024, Spreepark Art Space will offer a residency programme for interdisciplinary artists and collectives of up to 4 people. The three-month residencies are offered in Eierhäuschen, a freshly renovated, historic restaurant, that is a space for artistic production and sustainable and social interaction. The residency periods in 2024 are: 8 April - 21 June 2024, 1 July - 20 September 2024 and 30 September - 13 December 2024.

The CCA-Mellon Multidisciplinary Research Programme seeks practitioners and researchers working across landscape architecture and allied practices to participate in a multi-day online seminar in November 2023. Some participants will be invited to continue with the research project with in-person meetings and independent research over 18 months.

S+T+ARTS AIR is launching a new S+T+ARTS residencies programme focused on two main themes: Resilient Interspecies Urban Ecosystems and Human AI Ecosystems. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents in Member States of the European Union and its Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) or Associated Countries to Horizon Europe.

Collab 4 HY Sustain seeks to support 15 European culture and creative organisations that want to innovate within two topics: Audience and Hybrid Approaches, and Sustainability in Processes of Collaboration. Applying organisations must be working in the EU cultural and creative sectors. Priority will be given to activities based in project partner countries – Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece, and Denmark – or cross-border initiatives that have partners in one of these countries.

The research project PALIMPSEST is looking for architects, designers, artists, and creative agents to work on imagining and experimenting with new ways to respond to environmental problems in three laboratories at pilot landscapes. Applicants must be established in one of the eligible countries: the Member States of the European Union, and countries associated with Horizon Europe.

With this open call Project Butterfly is looking for music composers to work on a new sustainable opera. Three composers will be selected to write a three-act opera, in Italian, Polish and Finnish, dedicated to the theme of environmental sustainability. After two artistic residencies in Italy and Poland (May and October 2024), the project will culminate in a premiere in May 2025.

For its eleventh edition, the 2023-24 Geumgang Nature Art Biennale aims to create a new discourse on nature art, and calls for artworks under the theme of ‘Shelter in the Forest II’. Artists can submit model drawings that will be presented at the 2023 Geumgang Nature Art Biennale Project Exhibition, running 26 August – 15 October 2023, with selected projects then supported to be fully realised in 2024.

NEMO has issued a call for participation to encourage increased participation of museum colleagues from Central-Eastern Europe to join the NEMO European Museum Conference 2023. The call is targeted at museum professionals active in Central-Eastern Europe who have an interest in the topic of sustainability and climate action as well as a commitment to European collaboration and enthusiasm for international networking.

The S+T+ARTS in the City residencies programme aims to enhance art-driven innovation at local level and human-centred technologies, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, new digital media, smart cities, high performance computing, data science, or biotechnologies. 11 artists will be supported through a programme that includes a 9-month residency at a Regional S+T+ARTS Centre, beginning in October 2023.
