Slash is a European learning programme dedicated to nine emerging professional songwriters-producers from EU countries, who wish to step up their career. Activities run from January to June 2021. The main goals of this programme are to support them in the current context and to provide them with concrete and practical tools to solve issues, detect new opportunities and deal with day-to-day life. The programme includes online coaching and three six-day workshops in Lisbon, Aarhus and Nantes. It runs January to June 2021.

Located in the heart of Jutland, Riddergade AIR is an artistic platform where visual artists can develop and immerse themselves in their artistic practice while strengthening their network. With Riddergade AIR, Viborg Kunsthal offers artists excellent workshop facilities and assistance for tasks of a practical and artistic nature, as well as access to a wide local, national and international network. Bora Bora Residency Centre in Århus, Denmark welcomes proposals from professional dance artists for projects to be researched and/or developed. The residencies are open to professional dance artists or dance ensembles or stage directors with a strong choreographic idea from all over the world.

For Circus Without Circus, 16 individual European artists, 8 from the circus field and 8 from other artistic fields, will be selected for a residency programme aimed at sparking artistic exchange between disciplines by facilitating one-on-one research residencies. Artists who live and/or primarily work in Belgium, Croatia, Denmark or France and who are at the beginning of their career or changing direction in their career can apply. Each participant will take part in two residencies between spring 2021 and summer 2023.

The GENDERhouse#2 Queer Arts Festival in Aarhus, Denmark is open for applications for full length performance works that either tackle themes of gender, sexuality or identity or that defy traditions, queer the borders of what performance is and can be, or have an artistic expression that stands out from the ‘artistic usual or genre normative’. Selected performances will be programmed as part of the festival between 24 September – 10 October 2021. You must be resident in Europe to apply.

Arttrain, a Danish NGO promoting the use of art as a tool for learning motivation, are looking for newly educated artists aged 18-30 who are interested in being part of a long-term project together with 20 other young adults from 9 different countries. The project will consist of: 23-20 January 2021: training week in Finland. 19 April – 3 May 2021: 2 weeks rehearsal in Denmark. After two weeks rehearsal, the project will immediately head out on a paid two weeks long performance tour with 10-12 performances 4-18 May 2021 around The Baltic Sea.

Biofaction is seeking applications for its new Artist in Residence programmes. Four artists will be invited to work for 4-6 weeks at various laboratories across Europe. The residencies will start in autumn 2020 and will conclude in May 2021. They will be held in two parts, and the exact dates will be set by taking both artist and laboratory schedules into account, and with an eye to the situation in each locale (e.g. travel, safety regulations etc.). Freemuse is an international human rights organisation defending artistic freedom. The organisation is currently looking for a Programme Development Coordinator who will be responsible for identifying, developing new programmes and projects aimed at partnering with governments, public institutions and private foundations. The position can be based in Copenhagen, Oslo, Brussels or London. Deadline: 31 March 2020.

Metropolis is calling for 10 artists working with performing arts for an international site-specific residency programme in Copenhagen. The programme is aimed at performing artists with an interdisciplinary approach who have an interest in researching, creating and producing work in public space and the public realm. There are two separate residencies: Mapping the City (5 July - 2 August 2020) and Performative Landscapes (9 August - 6 September 2020). Deadline: 1 April 2020.

Malt AIR is a new visual arts residency programme in Denmark that aims to support the development of the resident’s artistic practice and to foster exchanges between the residing artist and the Danish contemporary visual arts scene. Applications are open to professional artists from abroad (non-Danish artists). Available residency periods are 1 September – 31 November 2020; 4 January – 31 March 2021; and 1 May – 31 July 2021. Deadline: 23 February 2020.
