Cabin Studio are calling for three artists to take part in a residency and prepare a composition for the festival Sanatorium Sonorum, which will be held in August 2024 in Cabin Studio Pěčice as a partially open-air event. The residency will run for 38 days from 1 April – 8 May 2024.

The Inspiration Forum LAB is an interdisciplinary research programme designed to provide a space where artists and scientists can meet and work together on creating research-based multimedia art projects. The 2023/24 LAB will take place in phases from October 2023 – September 2024. The programme is open to applicants from EU Member States.

The project ‘RENMUS - Renewable Music - V4 Composers for Sustainability’ invites composers from the Visegrad Group countries to apply for commissions to create new work that will be performed at four different concerts (in Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava, and Budapest). Selected composers will also join a programme of workshops and masterclasses from June – September 2024.

The Petrohradská kolektiv art centre in Prague have an open call for artists to participate in an international artist in residence programme. The programme is intended for active artists, creators, and theorists, who desire independence and want space and technical support for working on their projects. The residency will take place for 4-8 weeks between May and November 2023.

Garage Gallery’s international residency for artists and curators is open to any artist who does not have a permanent residence in Prague. The residency will end with a final exhibition of the selected applicant’s project, and is open for solo or duo applications due to the size of the offered accommodation. The next residency will run from 1 July – 15 September 2023, divided into a two-month residency followed by two weeks of installation and preparation for an exhibition at the gallery starting in mid September 2023.

Within the framework of an international project supported by Creative Europe, Meet Factory in Prague are looking for visual artists based in Spain and Slovakia who are willing to work in the international context and are interested in working with the dichotomy of centre/periphery with a new and challenging approach. An artist from each country will be invited for a to-month residency from 1 February – 31 March 2023.

The project Prague City of Literature offers residency stays for foreign writers and translators. There are six residencies available for 2023, each lasting two months: January – February, March – April, May – June, July – August, September – October, November – December.

Brno Artists in Residence is holding an international open call for visual artists, curators or theoreticians of any nationality, gender or age for a two-month residency stay between 1 June – 31 July 2023 hosted by the House of Arts Brno, in Brno, Czech Republic.

The project Dance and Performing Arts Criticism in Europe, a collaboration between Czech Dance News and Performing Arts Hub Norway, is organising a three-day seminar (16-18 July 2022) for emerging European dance critics and writers during KoresponDance Festival in the Czech Republic.

The Mistra Environmental Communication team at the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism (ICSJ) at Charles University (CU - Univerzita Karlova) are excited to facilitate one artist-in-residence (AiR) in Prague from 1 August – 30 September 2022. The AiR@CU offers the opportunity to investigate and explore the environment and sustainability through immersion in the Mistra Environmental Communication research that is ongoing at ICSJ.

For 2022, the first collaborative project between Notgalerie, Pragovka Gallery, and DÍNAMO is announcing a short term residence for international artists in the cities of Vienna, Prague and Porto. The residences will last 10 to 21 days in the time period from May to November 2022. The aim of the stay is to realise a project in public space and to be part of the creation of an autonomous artist-network between cities across Europe.
