The International Writers’ Workshop at Hong Kong Baptist University invites applications from interested writers to join the IWW 2023 Residency Programme from 20 February to 19 March 2023. Applicants are encouraged to engage with the theme of ‘Turbulence ·Tranquility · Transdisciplinary Writing’.

This three-month online residency programme in mid-June to mid-September is aimed at media artists and works around the theme of resisting and interrogating algorithmic surveillance and control. The residency will culminate in a public facing online digital arts festival where residents will showcase their work and lead public workshops.

Digital Diasporas is a remote, online residency that will be facilitated by three host organisations in Canada, Australia and China between mid-October to mid-December 2021. The Seventh Edition of the International Awards for Art Criticism (IAAC 7) 2020 is open to candidates from anywhere in the world writing in Chinese or English about any contemporary art exhibition held anywhere in world or, for the first time this year, online. Alongside a cash award, the first prize includes a fully funded short programme of visits and meetings in Shanghai or London.
