Global Connect is an IETM programme created with and supported by IETM Associate Members. The goal of Global Connect is to make the network more inclusive, diverse and accessible. Among other forms of support, successful applicants will benefit from funding to attend one IETM meeting: the IETM Plenary meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria on 12-15 June 2024.

The ECHO Academy in Bulgaria is looking for 10 fashion designers who will develop artworks and proposals for pilot projects. The Academy will be held between 5-26 October 2023 in a hybrid form. Applications are open to legal residents in the countries within the Creative Europe framework and non-EU countries of the Western Balkans. Applicants should be emerging creatives between 18 and 35 years old.

Collab 4 HY Sustain seeks to support 15 European culture and creative organisations that want to innovate within two topics: Audience and Hybrid Approaches, and Sustainability in Processes of Collaboration. Applying organisations must be working in the EU cultural and creative sectors. Priority will be given to activities based in project partner countries – Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece, and Denmark – or cross-border initiatives that have partners in one of these countries.

Theatre in Palm, an international project funded by Creative Europe, is hosting a Hybrid Residency on 6–17 November 2023. During the 2-week residency you will work with 10 local artists and 20 international artists, both live and online. The residency will end with 4–12 co-produced, new theatre pieces that are shared online with the whole group of 120 artists, plus 12 mentors, and the rest of the online world. Applicants must be resident in EU countries.

A to JazZ Showcase for international emerging artists in world music is a brand new part of the A to JazZ festival programme, taking place on 6 July 2023. World music projects and bands from all EU countries, as well as Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Albania, Bosna & Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Georgia, Tunisia, and Ukraine can apply.

The ContextAiR Plovdiv residency programme aims at creating new works, partnerships, interventions in public space, inspired by the city of Plovdiv and its eclectic mix of ancient history, socialist heritage and modern reality. The programme provides conditions for a 4-6 week stay.

In 2023, the Art Prospect Network Residency programme will support residencies for eighteen artists and curators from USA and the Art Prospect Network countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan) focusing on exchange and collaboration in the field of socially engaged art and/or public art.

The high-tech research and innovations project PROGENY is is calling for mural artists and mural collectives worldwide. The topic of the open call is the socioeconomic and environmental impact of current electronic production and waste. 1 artistic idea will be selected for realisation from May - August 2023 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The Horizon 2020 project WaterLANDS has launched six calls for European artists to engage with restoration works through part-time residencies spanning four years. Residencies will take place at sites in Bulgaria, Estonia, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

‘ECHO III: for memory’s sake’ is an arts and heritage project that aims to bring together artists working in the fields of theatre, music, visual arts, and literature in order to explore tradition and culture through the themes of marriage, arranged marriages and nuclear families in the Balkan context. ECHO III is looking for 24 artists, 6 Greek, 6 Romanian, 6 Bulgarian, 6 Albanian, working in the fields of theatre, music, visual arts, and literature to participate in the project with creation residencies and a short tour.

For the second half of 2022, TRADUKI is offering residencies in 10 cities in Southeast Europe - Belgrade, Bucharest, Cetinje, Novo Mesto, Prishtina, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Split and Tirana - for the duration of 2-6 weeks. Eligible applicants are writers, translators, and book professionals from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia.
