The Akademie Zweite Moderne (Academy of Second Modernism) is calling for womxn composers to develop strategies of visibility together with other invited composers during a two-day workshop from 7-9 June 2024.

The European Geosciences Union Artist in Residence programme welcomes applications from science-artists for two residencies at EGU24, which will take place in Vienna, Austria from 14-19 April 2024. The residency programme provides artists with an opportunity to engage with scientific research in a dynamic setting and be inspired by new scientific discoveries.

From 26 April – 5 May 2024 the Center for Choreography Bleiburg/Pliberk invites (groups of) artists to a 10-day interdisciplinary residency in Carinthia.

European Digital Deal is now calling on artists interested in exploring the deep entanglement between new technologies and democracy to apply for one of 12 residencies. Applicants can individuals or groups.

SHARESPACE is now looking for a media artist (group) to collaborate with. The goal of the collaboration is for the artist to realise their own art work for the Deep Space 8K, located at the Ars Electronica Center, utilising SHARESPACE technology. Following a kick-off meeting in Linz in February 2024, technical production will take place from April – September 2024.

Located in Linz, SILK KLISCOPE is an interdisciplinary space for dance and art. Alongside a national slot, an international residency is offered from 12 November – 3 December 2023.

Funded by ERSTE Foundation, the Artist in Residence Programme at Q21/MuseumsQuartier in Vienna, Austria is open to artists, curators or theoreticians from Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, and Ukraine. Available dates vary by country of application but run March - October 2024.

The Werner Fenz Grant for Art in Public Space targets national and international projects that address the cultural and political context of Graz, Austria. The grantee’s work will be presented as part of steirischer herbst ’24 (September/October 2024).

IDSA and Ars Electronica have announced an open call for professionals worldwide to join them in creating a university that tackles the challenges of an increasingly digital world. The Founding Lab fellowship programme includes two parts: The Founding Lab Forum as part of the Ars Electronica Festival (6-10 September 2023) and the Founding Lab Fall Term (October 2023 – January 2024 in Linz, Austria and online).

European artists, or collectives can apply to the EMAP residency programme with a project proposal for a residency of two months in 2024. The artists will be collaborating with an artist of their choice or an artist local to the platform’s host institutions.
