Schaufler Residency@TU Dresden is open for applications for a six-month residency starting in 2024. The central topic is ‘Data↔Worlds - Sociotechnical and Cultural Syntheses of New Realities’.

The European Geosciences Union Artist in Residence programme welcomes applications from science-artists for two residencies at EGU24, which will take place in Vienna, Austria from 14-19 April 2024. The residency programme provides artists with an opportunity to engage with scientific research in a dynamic setting and be inspired by new scientific discoveries.

The European network RepliFate is seeking 3 artists who are eager to work with research groups specialised in DNA replication, cell fates, and cancer research. Their artist in residence programme specifically involves a younger generation: the PhD students in the RepliFate Marie-Curie network.

Ever since its first edition in 2006, Technarte is the event where artists, designers and researchers from all around the world meet to share their vision of the fusion between art and technology in a close and friendly atmosphere. Speakers are sought for the next edition, taking place in Bilbao, Spain on 19 May 2023.

The EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) College of Humanities artist residency aims to foster transdisciplinary encounters and collaborations between artists and EPFL’s scientific community. Up to four artists will be selected for 3-month residencies at the EPFL in four sub-programmes: Open Transdisciplinary, Scientific Imaging, Environmental Transformation, and Explorations in Geometry, Computation, and Matter.

The MSUFCU Arts Power Up Arts Residency Program invites visual artists from any background or medium to apply to immerse themselves for 3-4 months in the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams’ laboratory, and to interact with its scientists, students, and staff.

Experiment B is a residency programme focusing on the intersection between scientific research and dance practice. Existing collaborative duos or groups that involve at least one choreographer and one scientist can apply with an idea or project that they wish to collaborate on. Residencies will take place over two months, from 15 October – 15 December 2023.

Highlight Delft, iii and VPInstruments are looking for artists who would like to participate in a residency programme at a sensor company. This first open call is hosted by VPInstruments – a company that specialises in highly accurate measurement and mapping of air and gas flows. The residency will take place October 2023 – January 2024, with a final presentation at Highlight Festival on 15-17 February 2024.

The STARTS4AFRICA Residencies will be a new residency programme dedicated to promoting Sub-Saharan Africa innovation at the nexus of Science + Technology + Arts. The organisers are looking for 8 African institutions in Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, DR Congo and Tanzania to be residency hosts.
